Navigating the Path to Your Best Self
treating Addiction, PTSD, and Intense Emotional Terrain.
Providing a safe harbor and the practical tools to handle life's storms while uncovering the best version of yourself.
Addiction and the Disease Model
(primary discipline and focus)
The Philosophy:
Addiction is rarely just about the substance or the behavior—it is often a response to pain. I provide a space of zero judgment, stable empathy and focus to help you address and uncover the root causes of dependency.
What We Address Together:
Substance Use: Alcohol and drug dependency.
Process Addictions: Gambling, food, screen addiction, gaming, adult content, shopping.
Emotional Dysregulation, Codependency, Abuse and PTSD.
The Goal:
To facilitate a deep process of self-reflection and healing, moving from maintenance and survival toward autonomy, authenticity, understanding and self-worth.
Trauma-Informed Care
(The Compass Point)
Understanding Your History, Defining Your Future.
We will shift the question from “whats wrong with you” to “what happened to you”. Trauma is not something you chose; it is often a lived experience and part of our past. We examine the barriers and impacts trauma has created in your life today, meeting your emotions exactly where they are. Using Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Top-Down (Cognitive) approaches, we move through a process of self-reflection to cultivate safety, trust, and empowerment—ultimately dismantling the guilt and shame that keep you anchored to the past.
The Toolkit
(Clinical Modalities)
Evidence-Based Tools for the Journey.
With a Master’s in Social Work and years of experience in high-acuity clinical settings (Residential, PHP, and IOP), I bring a diverse knowledge base and toolkit to our sessions. I draw on my experience facilitating psychoeducation groups to help you develop these 'Navigation Tools':
Emotional Regulation & MBSR:
Learning to navigate the 'high seas' of your feelings through Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy):
Practical, skills-based coping for everyday life.
everyday life.
Shame-Resilience Theory:
Rebuilding the self-confidence that addiction and trauma often erode.
Strengths-Based Approaches:
Shifting the focus from deficits to your inherent internal resources and your capacity for autonomy.
Grief & Loss:
Processing the many forms of loss that accompany the recovery journey.
